PETER DIENAAR

Artist

Fremantle born artist Peter Dienaar is inspired from a subconscious store of knowledge absorbed from his experiences which he draws upon in an intuitive and spontaneous way.

His rhythm of making often begins from a random connection of colour, shape and form.  It is important to let the artwork flow and have fun.

Most of his quirky and abstract work is process driven; incorporating painting, sculpture, mixed media, fine art digital, video and multi-media installation.

Peter enjoys the surprise generated by spontaneous actions and creates a surreal connection between people, life experiences and the natural environment.

     SILVER PEPPERMINT

The Silver Peppermint tree is one of Peter Dienaar's favourite trees. Silver and grey elevate and twist around its magnificently coloured smooth trunk, a beautiful artwork created by nature. Walking through a stand of these trees towering above, draws Peter in to a state of internal reflection and connection with the environment.

WHEELS ON WALRUS

Inspiration is everywhere. When asked about this work, Peter Dienaar said that it was inspired by the white wall tyre on a 'fixie' single speed bicycle on a local cycle-path.

DUST

Working on a rural property can be physically hard work.  Great to be outside in the expansive outdoors. Feeling good.
